Back in June this year I had the pleasure of photographing Geraldine from GEGE Movement. Geraldine is a Yoga/Pilates instructor and also a dancer and performer often working away on cruise ships.
Otherwise, a bundle of energy and a wonderful person to work with.
I originally met Geraldine during a client’s 121 training session a few years back and I have been looking forward to catching up and shooting since.
The team for this shoot was just me as button pusher and Geraldine as awesome human on set. The rest is history.
Let’s get on to the images.
portraits
#makeportraits - Rob...
This #makeportraits shoot was a little different as in I was photographing another photographer. Rob is a local photographer who shoots portraits and gigs. He has attended a few of my workshops and events this year for which I am thankful for.
Rob was also gracious enough to visit the studio for a couple of hours to let me #makeportraits of him. We talked about photography, our work and our struggles along with what’s happening in the industry. It’s always good to sit and talk with someone who works in the same industry as you do because you can both vent, ask questions and generally talk shop.
#makeportraits - Caroline...
I would like to start this post by saying thank you to Caroline for allowing me in to her home to photograph her and literally the day after she had returned from Holiday as well. Also thank you to the gent that is Mark Sands-Foy for putting me in touch with Caroline.
With #makeportraits I am spending time getting to know the person in front of the lens and making a portrait that is them and some cool shots as well. Less posed and more story / body language.
Portraits of Adam...
Back in September this year local photographer and friend of mine Adam called round for a catchup and also to bring his back up 5D Mark II for me to buy.
This was camera number 3 being added to the kit. I like to buy used kit from people or companies that I can trust.
We talked shop for a few hours and I paid some cash for the new (old) camera.
Later in the year I worked with Adam on a wedding after ahis usual 2nd shooter was undisposed. This old community and industry we call photography is great like that, we help each other out.
Anyway, on to the images… ( I have some outtakes but am holding those as leverage).
