I want to take this blog back to basics in 2019 and get to sharing more work, so why not start early. These blog posts for the most part won’t be word heavy because let’s face it… it’s about the images.
The images in this post are form a shoot with my friend and model extraordinaire Emma and my friend, Second Shooter, Assistant and all-round top bloke but not a model Stuart.
As a working photographer it’s important to give yourself some time to create new work that is not under a set brief. It’s frees my mind and allows me to try things and experiment. I will experiment on client jobs but only once I feel that the brief has been met.
Enough talk…
Event Cover : Baptism - Baby Ella
Last weekend I was hired to photograph the Baptism of the beautiful baby Ella at the Emmanuel Methodist United Reformed Church in Ormskirk.
Ella was good a gold during the Baptism. According to my mum I kicked up a storm at mine, read in to that as you will.
It was a pleasure to meet and work with this lovely family. On to some images from the day.
Studio Update - Studio Hire Information & a realisation that things are going to plan.
Back when I started my business I have ideas and plans for what I wanted the studio space to be used for. Studio hire was not really part of that plan but it has somewhat organically become part of the business.
They say that things that kind of just happen are often better than the versions planned to the N'th degree, I can somewhat agree.
So here we are in May 2018 and I am now advertising that the studio can be rented/hired.
Product Photography - Jewellery & The Bowl
Towards the end of March I spent the day in the studio working on some product photos.
When photographing a product you can literally be faced with anything and they are always enjoyable to shoot because each brings a new challenge. From a piece of jewellery to a simple every day item like a bowl each brings a new way of approaching the shot.
I could get lost in the studio for weeks shooting products.
